Why Fantis

The A. Fantis School has a rich history of developing boys and girls into upstanding young men and women ready to contribute to their community and the broader society. Our graduates matriculate from premier high schools and universities in New York City and beyond. A. Fantis is a small, tight-knit community, where generations gather in school and church as students, alumni, faculty, board members, parents and grandparents.

Spelling Bee Mania??

Spelling is in the air! In January, Fantis is sending our two finalists to compete in the final competition of the National Scripps Spelling Bee with our sister schools, which will be presided over by His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America. Then our students will continue to study for the inaugural A. Fantis School Greek Spelling Bee in early March.

Student Council

Fantis students have been applying what they have learned in civics class to this year’s student council. After successfully initiating the popular Pizza Friday fundraiser, the student council turned its focus on reopening the school store. They have finished revising their business plan, which included marketing, inventory, and bookkeeping for a February opening. Proceeds will help fund their initiatives this year, which they will solicit from their ‘consitutents’.

"Teach children in a way that fits their needs, and they will not leave the right path."
