Students’ progress is monitored closely, with informal and formal assessment taking place throughout the year. Students in Grades 1 through 8 are given tests on a regular basis.
Lower and Middle School students receive student contracts outlining the curriculum topics, requirements and expectations, and grading policies.
Mid-Year and Final Examinations are administered in January and June, respectively for grades 5-8.
Students Grades 3 through 8 are also assessed through ELA and Math State Exams. These assessments assist our teachers in providing more targeted instruction, enabling our students to raise their overall achievement levels.
Students in Grades K though 8 receive quarterly written report cards. These include a grade in each subject, as well as teacher comments.
Students in Grades Pre-K 3 and UPK receive four progress reports.
Interim progress reports are given to students Grades 1 through 8 in November and March.
Formal Parent/Teacher conferences are held twice a year. Parents, though, are invited to contact their child’s teacher throughout the year with any queries or concerns they may have. When necessary, teachers reach out to parents to address concerns and student progress.
