The school (Pre-Kindergarten - Grade 8) is organized to provide one-on-one interaction between teacher and student.
Instruction is in English. Student objectives and outcomes are a main focus of every class. English Language Arts, Social Studies, Mathematics and Science follow the New York State Education Standards and Grade-Specific Performance Indicators. The No Child Left Behind Act and New York State have mandated this level of specificity for grades pre-K through 8. Music, art and physical and health education are infused throughout a student's weekly program. Dramatic Arts and theatrical productions will begin in the Fall semester. Greek Language and Greek as a Second Language are part of the curriculum. Teachers work in large, small and individual groups to promote learning. Modern Greek language and Cultural Education are taught daily by experienced Greek teachers who integrate poetry, music, drama and the celebration of important Greek holidays within the curriculum. A collaboration between the Modern Language Department of Columbia University will begin this Fall semester.
